Ok, I was just making sure you were calling yum in the context of creating a chroot and not expecting it to manage Ubuntu packages.
Please try the workaround in bug #1200288, namely setting sslverify to false either in a yum config file or on the command line, for example: yum --config=/path/to/config --installroot=... --setopt=sslverify=false and comment back here if that works around the error you are seeing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1261781 Title: yum update e.g. shows many errors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/yum/+bug/1261781/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
