I upgraded my Ubuntu 13.10 64bit (with Gnome Shell) to kernel 3.12 with the help of the info here http://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2013/11/linux-kernel-3-12-released-install-ubuntu-or-linux-mint/ and got my 3rd screen working out of the box with a Trendnet TU2-DVIV (v2.0R) USB-to-VGA display adapter (before that, I had an issue pretty similar to the one described in this post). I have a Lenovo T530 and my 3 screens have the following resolutions, respectively (although I detect a slightly lower quality if image which I cannot explain just yet): * 1920x1080 (max resolution of main laptop screen) * 1680x1050 (max resolution of LG Flatron W2234S) * 1920x1080 (max resolution of Samsung 23" screen)
Not sure if the move from RC to stable brought these fixes along, but I have no problem of resolution limits. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1227833 Title: No Driver - SIIG USB 2.0 to VGA Pro To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1227833/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
