Actually, I do not understand this. Every new device that is not supported by old kernels could be called to have an "upstream bug."
I hope you do not mean this, and I hope you did not misunderstand the situation. Please keep in mind that I did not really use any old ubuntu distros with this computer. Since I bought this new laptop very recently (early November), I tested 12.04 (which is the one that I used with my old laptop), and then I installed 13.10, which was the latest at that time. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1247667 Title: 1969:10a1 [Lenovo IdeaPad Y510P] alx module problem (wakeonlan) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1247667/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
