I am seeing this bug in Xubuntu daily 64bit and 32bit ISO for 18 Dec and 19 Dec 2013.
The files are booted direct from ISO files using grub-2 which I manually installed to a USB flash drive, and which works without fault to boot the system. I get to a login screen very quickly and using the 32bit ISO the system will login to a live session on a 32 bit netbook machine using xubuntu as username and leaving password blank. I can not, however, get further than the login screen if I use the 32bit ISO on my 64bit desktop machine which boots using UEFI. The 64bit ISO will work OK on that machine and boot to a live session if I use username xubuntu and leave password blank. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1259525 Title: Lubuntu & Xubuntu & Ubuntu Kylin lightdm session fails to start. user- session is not set To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/lubuntu-default-settings/+bug/1259525/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
