I am seeing this bug in Xubuntu daily 64bit and 32bit ISO for 18 Dec and
19 Dec 2013.

The files are booted direct from ISO files using grub-2 which I
manually installed to a USB flash drive, and which works without fault
to boot the system. I get to a login screen very quickly and using the
32bit ISO the system will login to a live session on a 32 bit netbook
machine using xubuntu as username and leaving password blank.

I can not, however, get further than the login screen if I use the 32bit
ISO on my 64bit desktop machine which boots using UEFI. The 64bit ISO
will work OK on that machine and boot to a live session if I use
username xubuntu and leave password blank.
