Public bug reported:

This bug report applies to both, Ubuntu 13.10 with the Kernel 3.11.0-15
Generic Kernel and after upgrading to the Development version of the
14.04 with the 3.13.0-5 Generic Kernel.

cyrex@cyrex:~$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu Trusty Tahr (development branch)
Release: 14.04
Codename: trusty

NOTE: Again, this also applies to 13.10.

The package that might be related to this is acpid with version 2.0.18

I was previously using the Intel DP35DP motherboard with no errors on both
versions (13.10 and 14.04)
After testing the Asus Z87-PRO I started having this errors. I quickly searched
for a Firmware upgrade. I applied the Z87-PRO BIOS 1707 firmware update but
still the errors were there. The visible impact is:

+ Slow reading/writing to any Disks (I have an SSD and 2 HDD). All are
very slow to the point of copying 1 MB takes about 2 minutes.

+ Downloading from either the integrated Wireless card or the Wired Card
is very slow. My connection was normal between 500KB/Sec to 1MB/Sec. It
now holds steady at around 23KB/Sec.

+Booting has no slow problems, the only issues is the visible graphic
glyphs that appear before entering the Desktop (Using an Nvidia 440
card).

Here is the motherboard:
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z87PRO/#specifications

I read through several bug reports similar and found that applying the
processor.nocst=1 parameter to the kernel would solve this. It did not,
it actually added another error:

Apart from the bug, how can I interpret this warning, messages and
errors? Thank you.
