Public bug reported: I have a notebook and at home and work I usually attach 2x 24" screens... one by vga and one by hdmi.
However, if I start the notebook without external screens attached, the screen just stays dark. I set it so that the notebook screen turns off and only shows external screens. When I then attach then the vga screen, nothing happens - it's not being recognized at all. And when I attach the hdmi screen, I end up at lightdm user login - despite having autologin enabled. Kubuntu used to behave to auto-enable the notebook screen when there's no external monitors attached. So when you're not at home or work the notebook screen should work. Using Kubuntu Tahry. ** Affects: kscreen (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1272189 Title: Problem with switching monitors on notebook To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kscreen/+bug/1272189/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
