I'm sorry, I don't know what "lynx motion" is. Here's an example of what
I mean:

If focus is currently on a particular folder in mc, then hitting the
right-arrow-key would drill into that folder. Then, hitting the left-
arrow-key would go back to the parent folder.

ncdu shows your file system ordered by "what's taking up the most space". It is 
not a general file manager. However, if you run it, you can see what I'm 
proposing. Run this as one command:
sudo apt-get install ncdu ; sudo ncdu /

It will take a minute or two from ncdu to rank your file system by size,
but after that, you can use your right and left arrow keys to clearly
see the feature I'm proposing for mc.

It's a faster way of navigation than mc currently offers, but it would
be easy to implement in mc too.

It is the arrow-key-hierarchical-navigation feature in ncdu, that I'm
proposing for mc.
