Here is a silly suggestion:
why not make an option for the user to "auto-detect DPI settings or use the 
hard-coded default setting of 96 or 120 (3 options here). This is similar to 
"auto-detect keyboard" that I have yet to have correctly identify us-english.
Explain on the option selection section what the risks are of auto-detecting 
(fonts may appear large/small if autodetection fails) and have a splash page 
with text to show the results BEFORE the setting is saved so the user can say 
"nope...that wont work", and choose one of the hard coded sections.
If something cant get get done for this release, then by god use the setting in 
Feisty so I dont need to have my screen resolution set to 800x600 (or less) so 
i can read a website!
