The fact that this still hasn't been resolved in the public release after almost 15 years is, quite frankly, disgusting.
These kind of amateurish bugs and the utter inability of anyone to fix them years, or in this case, DECADES later is exactly why nobody takes open-source software seriously. Rename either folder in some way and be done with it. This does not need to be debated until our eyes and ears bleed. Make a command decision and fix it one way or the other.
