@Jeff: Yeah, the find pattern matches anything with amarok in it. Heck, I didn't even have a collection loaded, I was just using Amarok to play a stream.
I have rebooted since my last update, and Amarok 1.4.5 is happy again. I did see a reference in strace to a shared memory operation getting denied, and that's where the strace stopped. Of course, it's working now, so I can't reproduce it.
