Public bug reported:

I along with many users think the shopping lens should be an opt-in
feature, not an opt-out. And if it remains as an opt-out feature then I
think there should be a disclaimer during installation telling the user
what it does and how it does what it does. I don't necessarily distrust
Canonical with my IP logs but there's a lot of users that do and feel
betrayed to the point of labeling the shopping lens as "spyware". Pleas
fix this issue by making it an opt-in feature instead of an opt-out.
