Sometime in late 13.04 update HDMI desktop mirroring stopped working on my Sony 
VAIO laptop.
Using Fn+F7 does not bring up the desktop mirror etc. dialog.

When the HDMI cable is plugged in, it is not detected and thus the
screen mirror dialog is not shown. As a result, cannot project my laptop
to a larger display. This is a regression.
