Another i915 user running KDE here: I started experiencing the exact problems after the package pushes on 2/20.
The screen corruption doesn't always start immediately, but when it does it's horrible: http://i.imgur.com/W2N2y6e.png Hangups/crashes are frequent (multiple times a day). I backleveled the mesa (to saucy packages) and xserver-xorg-video-intel (to xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.99.910+git20140210) , and the corruption/crashes went away. The current packages also break Primus (the render window is solid black).
