Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
When editing one (or mutliple) files metadata (right click one/multiple songs in the library and change some of the values) the changes are displayed correctly within rhythmbox (so they are properly stored somewhere (internal database?)) but any id3-tags attached to the file will be deleted. (check using "id3v2 -l *" or mediaplayer of choice). expected behavior: either: store the changed values to some internal database and leave the mp3-file untouched or (preferred): write back the changed values to the id3-tags and leave unaltered values unchanged actual behavior: changed values are stored somewhere but the id3-tags are deleted bad thing about actual behavior: possible (and probable) data loss ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- changes to metadata cause deletion of id3-tags https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
