Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed
in version 0.3.2~RC1-3 which is available in the latest development
version of Ubuntu - Trusty Tahr. The homepage link now points to
https://github.com/gitpython-developers/GitPython, see the following
entry in the changelog for details:
python-git (0.3.2~RC1-3) unstable; urgency=low
* Update Homepage to a working URL.
* Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.5.
* Correctly parses `git --version` when not all components are
