Public bug reported: I did the following: adb reboot bootloader ubuntu-device-flash --channel=devel-proposed --device=mako --bootstrap
I then had to install w3m to file a bug and was able to do so using: adb shell apt-get install w3m It turns out that ubuntu-device-flash doesn't remove the /userdata/.writable_image file.
