I've tried to use the following Xorg setting in the past days as suggested elsewhere:
Section "Device" Identifier "Intel Graphics" Driver "intel" Option "Accelmethod" "uxa" EndSection Unfortunately, I've just experienced the same issue even with this setting in place.
