So "Send Document as Open Document Text" is what should create a mail with a ODT attached. This is what this bug description originally wanted.
"Send Document as Email" should create a Email with the mail body filled with the document body. This is a different issue. It is tracked as fdo#75825 upstream and as per https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75825#c7 affects multiple distros. THIS bug will continue to track the "Send Document as Open Document Text" issue, the "Send Document as Email" is only tracked upstream for now. Please open a NEW launchpad bug if you want to have it tracked for Ubuntu too.
