Many thanks for your response. I can see I am quickly out of my depth. I tried to 'run those scripts(?)' in the terminal but got no recognition. No doubt doing it incorrectly!
Should I now post a request to the community for some hand-held help? I ask this because the solution seems to be before me but I lack the familiarity with using the terminal to make use of the fix.
