Public bug reported:

Package: bacula-common
Version: 5.2.6+dfsg-9ubuntu1
Severity: important

> # /usr/sbin/bsmtp -h backup -f "(Bacula) <root>" -s "Bacula: Backup OK of
> backup-fd Full" root
> bsmtp: bsmtp.c:377 Fatal gethostbyname for myself failed "backup.DOMAIN.TLD":
> ERR=Success

This happens on an IPv6 only host running Ubuntu saucy.

The current workaround is to add "backup.DOMAIN.TLD" to /etc/hosts, e.g.
+ 127.0.1.1 backup.DOMAIN.TLD

I think this problem might be solved with a more recent Bacula version.

Cheers,
Raoul
PS: I will also file this bug directly with Debian.
