Touchpad works "out of the box" on Ubuntu 14.04 with linux
3.13.0-20-generic

This was the xinput output with the old kernel 3.13.0-19-generic:

⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ PS/2 Generic Mouse id=13 [slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)]

and now with 3.13.0-20-generic:

⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint id=13 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ ALPS PS/2 Device

Great!
