I have this problem also. i have the linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-10-generic
package installed and looking in
/lib/modules/2.6.22-10-generic/ubuntu/media/snd-hda-intel/ shows there is a
snd-hda-intel.ko file.
Doing lsmod | grep snd-hda-intel though returns no results, so the module isnt
being loaded.
If i try sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel, it says FATAL: Module snd_hda_intel not
found. (notice the difference in hyphens and underscores, is that supposed to
happen?)
