** Summary changed: - ubiquity and EISA partitions + Mounting EISA partitions on install
** Description changed: - Binary package hint: ubiquity - Setting up Ubuntu Gutsy mounts the EISA tools partition (marked as Compaq diagnositcs in fdisk) as a separate DOS partition. Windows XP on the other hand doesn't allow you to mount these partitions from Windows or do anything much with them - despite the fact that they are essential FAT32 DOS partitions. What is happening on my laptop (Lenovo N100 running rescue/recovery 3 in the EISA partition) is that the EISA tools are making strange alterations to the partition's boot sector, which is then picked up by Gutsy's fsck as an error it can't fix (boot sector backup != original) Is it wise to automatically add EISA partitions to the /etc/fstab? ** Changed in: ubuntu Sourcepackagename: ubiquity => None -- Mounting EISA partitions on install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/132252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
