I can reproduce on gutsy. Installing azureus_2.5.0.0repack1-0ubuntu1.1~proposed1 fixes this problem on gutsy also. I have tested the proposed package continuously for the last two months and the crash has not recurred (and azureus has been shut down unsafely *many* times).
Let's get this proposed package in gutsy and feisty.
