Unsure of what I was seeing using dbg just added printf statements before and after the call to webkit_web_view_new() (calendar.c line 2359) and sure enough the Pipelight output was between those printf statements. Looking at that routine in libwebkit-1.0 it does nothing but create a NULL WEBKIT_WEB_VIEW object in a single line of code with a call to g_object_new().
