You should add yourself to the group "voice", that I think was created by Ekiga when you installed it.
Open a shell and type: sudo adduser <your user> voice That should add your user to the system group "voice". If you didin't install Ekiga using apt-get than perchaps that group doesn't exists and you will have to manually do something about it.
