How to reproduce: I wanted to mention that there are websites that provide free openvpn bundles that might be useful for someone who wants to simply reproduce this bug. To test this, I suspect you'd first have to install this: sudo apt-get install network-manager-openvpn Likely, that command alone will also trigger the installation of necessary dependency packages. You may have to reboot after this (not sure).
