I expect windows to always close within a short amount of time after clicking the "X". - Other possible Unity related oddities which are occurring on my system - which may be related to this issue... - - "Control-Alt-T" will sometimes not open a terminal, I might have to - press the combination 4 or 5 times to get terminal to open. - - "Pithos" music player will not display icon in notification area on - the top bar (although it behaves as if it did, i.e. will continue - playing after closing the main window when "show nofication area icon" - option is selected).
