just to clarify: my comments (apart from #10 where I reference the other
bug reports)  are not about the "black screen after suspend" problem. It
is all just about the missing mouse cursor. When light-locker is not
installed (removed with apt-get purge) suspend and resume work except
for the invisible mouse - that's why I assumed it is not light-locker
causing the problem with the invisible mouse cursor.

My last comment: after killing upowerd and xfce4-power-manager I can
still enter suspend mode by closing the lid and the mouse cursor is
still there after resuming. To me it seems like an unwanted interaction
between different tools handling lid close.

Good luck tracking down the problem.
