by 'no compiler activity' I mean that there was no 'cc1' or 'cc1plus' entry showing in my instance of 'top' implying that no building was going on. In addition apt was consuming 5% cpu for at least 5 minutes. I assumed that this meant the build script was somehow hung, so I tried to ctrl+c. The ctrl+c didn't return, so I killed.
In fact later the installation completed successfully when I gave it time to finish. So I guess this is my fault, and nothing is actually wrong like you suspect. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1309321 Title: openafs-modules-dkms 1.6.7-1: openafs kernel module failed to build To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openafs/+bug/1309321/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
