The url provided in the description is incomplete. At the moment ubiquity installer only supports encryption and lvm upon wipe clean & install on to the whole drive.
If you want to activate existing encrypted volumes and/or use multiple partitions (e.g. dual-boot etc) please use mini.iso from http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/netboot/trusty/ or use ubuntu server image.
