For me removing /etc/pm/config.d/config (I added in 13.10) also fixed the issue. After waking from suspend and hibernate wifi reconnects nicely. Ubuntu 14.04, upgraded from 13.10, Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 2230, iwlwifi driver.
