Searching for bugs about saving printer options in Okular brings one here. Most of this discussion centers on duplex printing, but my issue concerns printing in reverse order. This is possible on-the-fly in Okular, but there is no way to make it the default. That doesn't seem possible even using the 4.13 version of KDE in the just-released Kubuntu 14.04 (4:4.13.0-0ubuntu1).
I can select the option to print in reverse order on the fly in Okular, but I cannot make that the default for all documents and for all KDE applications. The reverse printing option doesn't appear in the System Settings printer dialog, probably because it also does not appear as an option using CUPS via the localhost:631 interface. Still I can tell Okular to print a document in reverse order, so it should be possible to set it globally for Okular and for all other KDE apps as well. I don't know whether it's a KDE or a Qt or a CUPS problem, but it should be possible to make any printer option a default. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905147 Title: QPrinterDialog ignores default settings from CUPS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qt/+bug/905147/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
