I can confirm this on an Intel HD 4000 using a MacBook Air running a clean install of the latest Xubuntu 14.04.
I just tried switching to the older UXA acceleration backend instead of SNA but the issue persists. It's at least unrelated to the Intel driver's acceleration method.
