Further to my comment on 2007-08-23, I have more information.  The
misbehaviour clearly relates to non-ssh packages/config on the client
system in question.  I have two Feisty installs, both acting as clients
to an OpenBSD server.  One connects happily, the other hangs at
"SSH2_MSG_KEXINIT sent" when using "ssh -vvv".

Both Feisty clients have the same SSH config, *exactly*, both in ~/.ssh
and /etc/ssh/ssh_config

If the problem relates to a conflict with another
package/library/something, I am in a position to test this, if anyone
can suggest *what* to actually test!
