When I run on a new 14.04 system it runs ok, but doing a reinstall is
not an option due to DNS+ldap+domain controller etc...

It seems that there is some environment issue or cache files but I cannot
find them.
For now running in screen in foreground modus.

What is the difference in running as a normal start or as a
  foreground/debug modus?
