Public bug reported: There is a misleading behaviour in the procedure "save as" when it is changed the extension of the file.
If I manually change the filter extension as a consequence it will change the extension of the file and his format. Instead if I change the extension of the file (where it appears the file name with the extension) it will not change consequently the format neither it will prompt to warn about a problem. In writer and calc it changes automatically in both cases. What happens in detail: I create my file Example.odp. I press CTRL-SHIFT-S to save as. The checkbox "Automatically save filename extension" is checked. I change the name and the extension in Example2.xls. I press enter and it saves on the hard disk. The file saved has the extension xls but it is still in odp format.
