Public bug reported: im not sure if its my configuration to blame, or the new "create file" mode is undocumented, but both open and os.open wont create files.. ive checked permisions, and everything seams good. worst of all, a stability downgrade isnt possible by using the ubuntu trusty repo's alone. suggested, my personal ideal solution, would be packaging python 3.3 as python3.3 and other modules as
python3.3-modulename at the moment, 3.40 is broken biscuits on trusty ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: python3 3.4.0-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-24.47-generic 3.13.9 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-24-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: i386 CurrentDesktop: LXDE Date: Thu May 8 06:47:15 2014 SourcePackage: python3-defaults UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: python3-defaults (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1317378 Title: Python3 "open" (to create a file) builtin method not working for 3.40 on trusty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python3-defaults/+bug/1317378/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
