Dear Christopher, thanks for the hint. I updated successfully the BIOS from version 1.07 --> 1.08. Unfortunately, the touchpad issue remains the same as it was with BIOS 1.07. The command "sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date" issued: V1.08 07/30/2013
