sudo -s
apt-get purge light-locker
apt-get install xscreensaver

is all it takes.
You then can configure xscreensaver from the settings panel of xfce just like 
in previous releases.

But I really wish they would fix light-locker as it does not nuke my monitor 
profiles on sleep like xscreensaver does.
