Tim, you're right, this output seems to be very normal indeed.
Actually, the output I posted in #4 was when the icon bar was in the middle; I rebooted and the icon bar now is on the left side (good thing!), but typing xrandr -q, now it identically gave me the same normal output. xrandr -q Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1366 x 768, maximum 8192 x 8192 LVDS connected primary 1366x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x 0mm 1366x768 60.0*+ 1280x720 59.9 1152x768 59.8 1024x768 59.9 800x600 59.9 848x480 59.7 720x480 59.7 640x480 59.4 HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) VGA-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) It looks like there's no trace in this output of this weird behaviour... Anyway, since this is not a security bug, to me it's not big problem; if, there's no solution for the moment, I could reboot when necessary (not big deal to me). honestly, now I'm more interested in this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/1318191 Thanx -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1318561 Title: GNOME 3, icon bar in the middle of the screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1318561/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
