I notice that the trunk and current gutsy kernel driver's version are the same (0.1.0), But there's a lot of changes between the code in both drivers. I think this should be tagged as wishlist, and i'll attach a patch applying the changes in linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-10-generic against trunk, hope this could be included so in the next kernel release this webcam and a couple of others could be detected without intervention of the final user.
