Public bug reported: I was not able to burn a Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 iso image to DVD. I used K3B, Brasero and growisofs from the command line in that order.
Funny thing is that there is no error message or any other message. K3B and growisofs both show successful completion. When I insert the disk into the tray and close the tray, it shows up as a blank DVD+R once again! However trying to write to this blank DVD again results in an error (something to the effect that beyond the first 2 KB the disk is not empty). Brasero on the other hand shows the disk as being written without error but goes into a hang saying "Calculating Image Checksum".
