I just got clobbered too :^(

I have an old box running a dual-boot of Win XP (to operate some
prehistoric genealogy software) and Ubuntu 12.04 that I decided to
upgrade to Lubuntu 14.04.

I'll attach a screenshot of the options offered, but I chose Upgrade
Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS to Lubuntu 14.04 LTS and it did save the documents,
pics, etc. in Ubuntu but also gobbled up the old XP partition.

Not a huge deal because I'm anal about creating backups but I'll have to
reinstall XP + a bit of software.
