Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22
On Samsung Q1 ultra, the linux-image-2.6.22-10-generic S3 (suspend to ram) has a very interesting phenomenon: it seems lose OS timer interrupts and needs external interrupts to keep kernel running. I installed pm-utils and vbetool, used: pm-suspend --quirk-vbestate- restore to enter S3, after that, system went sleep, after triggered power button, system seemed to recovery, but I needed keep pressing Q1's keyboard to trigger system scheduling. For example, ran a "top" program in the console, the "top" would keep idle until I press anykey, and the manner would be "press one time, top run one time". Even for "ls -al", I needed to press key extra times to let it go. Beside key pressing, other events like plug in/out power adaptor could trigger system too. In one short sentence, the world was now triggered by external interrupts. ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- linux-image-2.6.22-10-generic suspend to ram (S3) issue (Samsung Q1 ultra) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135670 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
