I was still get 'malformed file' on each cold boot. And i got the idea to check, with gparted, how was set the boot flag as the system boot on sda:
- boot flag was set on sdb : with the latest grub2 i am getting the error 'malformed file'. This was not an issue with the previous grub 2.02~beta2-8 - changing the boot flag to the sda hdd which is the bios booting on: and now the error is gone. On that system cgroup-lite cant be blamed as it has never been installed. So its a grub2 regression as that error, with the same boot flag on sdb, was not seen before the latest grub2 revision. ** Tags added: regression -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1311247 Title: [Grubenv] error: malformed file, press any key to continue To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1311247/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
