Installation media is set automatically by the error report application, I originally installed Ubuntu 11.10 from a CD and have since then upgraded to every released version using the upgrade manager and am now running 14.04.
All I did was "sudo apt-get install marinadb-server", any options where left on default. About a month ago I had installed mysql-server-5.6 and I think this is what triggered the issue, but I can't be sure.
