ok, so just to follow up, I went to software & updates and switched the selection from
Using X.org Xserver -Nouveau display driver ... to Using NVIDIA binary driver -version 331.38 from nvidia-331(proprietary tested) and restarted. The load-up screen is a little different (not quite as 'sexy' :), but I'm ok with that) and now I'm able to suspend and wake-up without a problem. The lock ->unlock functionality was fine for either driver. So, anyway, my problem is fixed, but if you want me to do any further testing with the original open-source driver, let me know. and THANKS FOR THE HELP! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1326740 Title: [SRU] Please backport xfce4-power-manager 1.2.0-3ubuntu6 to trusty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/1326740/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
