Hi, While I did a new install I did not take up any of the options,(no
speaker) but after install I did try a few apps but I tested sound after
each and then removed it before trying the next. There was no sound at
any time and no sound options were auto/added.
Note I have kept banshee, sound converter, Arister Transcoder, Youtube,
VLC and Pulse audio volume control.
The Pulse Audio Volume Control though does show a sound activated moving
graphic in the horizontal volume bar, but still no actual sound/audio
anywhere in the speaker.
Strange how 12,04 worked for me on all of my same computers with a
little fiddling but no success with the 14.04.
Have you altered anything yet?. Feel free to do anything as I can easily
reinstall the 14.04 if it goes pear shaped in the "problem" computer but
please be carefull not to alter my EMAIL computer.
I'm not a computer expert but if you think I can do anything let me
know and I will try.
Hope someone can help. Thanks Rod
