Yes, that's exactly what I want. Surprisingly, when I did (TY Fabounet), cairo-dock -c, I got the same poor looking icons; however, when using -A and answered 'No', the icons are back to their great looking and sharp icons.
Both commands were done in terminal, but the GUI result worked v. the argument to the command.
